Driven by its purpose of Advancing and Inspiring Society, CelcomDigi Berhad (“CelcomDigi”) continues its commitment to digitally empower Malaysians, especially the underserved community. Over 1,500 refurbished computers have been distributed to 460 schools and some public universities nationwide, enabling more than 13,000 students and youths with internet connectivity.

The latest distribution was held during a cycling expedition at Perlis, Program Kayuhan CelcomDigi Bersama DYMM Pemangku Raja Perlis yesterday (20 June 2023). An entourage consisting of the Regent of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail along with CelcomDigi team cycled from SK Putra Perlis to PEDi Bintong in Kangar, delivering 85 desktop units to representatives from 17 schools in the state.

Leveraging the power of the internet with computers in classrooms, this ongoing initiative helps in bridging the digital divide in education, especially in schools located in rural areas nationwide. Through this, CelcomDigi aims to provide students with quality education tools and reliable connection while nurturing them with safe internet skills and help them be future-ready digital citizens. The company aims to support more schools in underserved communities to continue building a connected future for everyone.

Ensuring that all segments of society have equal access to connectivity
