On October 1st, 2023, the Subang Jaya City Council, in collaboration with their Synergy Partners, came together to extend a helping hand to the B40 communities residing in low-cost apartments within the Puchong region. This heartwarming initiative involved the provision of nutritious food donations and essential kitchen supplies to these deserving families.

In a display of meticulous planning and community care, three buses were dispatched bright and early to collect the identified families and transport them to the Subang Jaya Car-Free Day site. Upon arrival, the recipients were met with an array of thoughtfully prepared donation items, all bundled in reusable canvas bags.

What truly set this endeavor apart was the commitment to not just provide material assistance but also to nurture the spirits of the cherished B40 community members. To achieve this, a wide range of recreational activities was organized, encompassing activities like aerobics, archery, and more, which even drew the participation of the younger generation.

The team at What A Waste beamed with delight at the sight of these children actively engaging in these activities. Their belief in fostering empowered and inclusive communities through small, meaningful steps was fortified.

As they concluded the day, the hope was that the less fortunate families in the community would continue to receive blessings and protection, ensuring their well-being and brighter futures. This initiative exemplified the remarkable impact that collective community efforts can have in making a positive difference in the lives of those in need.
