The status of Petaling Jaya as a Learning City is further strengthened as the Petaling Jaya City Council continues its involvement with 10 students from SMK Assunta, SMK Sultan Abdul Samad, SMK Puchong, and SMK Bandar Seri Putra, sending them to The 2023 Asan International Exchange Camp, organized by the Asan City Council in South Korea.

The youth leadership camp, which takes place from 21 to 28 July 2023, aims to provide exposure and enhance the confidence and self-identity of the participants in the aspects of youth leadership, as future leaders. Apart from Malaysia and South Korea, representatives from Vietnam and China also participate in this camp.

Youth leadership, being an annual event, is one of the strategic cooperation areas under the PJ Friendship City Program, a collaboration initiative in Petaling Jaya. In November 2023, MBPJ plans to organize the PJ International Youth Leadership Camp.

Through initiatives like this, the Petaling Jaya City Council actively strives to build a competitive, proactive, and leadership-oriented younger generation. By involving students in the youth leadership camp, Petaling Jaya reinforces its position as a Learning City by focusing on the development of young leaders, fostering international friendship, and broadening the horizons of the students to shape them into high-caliber future leaders.
