MBSJ will apply its two-hour parking limit in six sites starting 1st September 2022, which involved places like USJ10, SS12, SS15, USJ21, Bandar Puteri Puchong, and Jalan Kenari .

Subang Jaya mayor Datuk Johary Anuar said 1,895 parking bays had orange lines painted to inform motorists of the two-hour limit. More bays will be added. Existing disabled parking slots are exempt.

Johary announced at the launch at MBSJ headquarters in USJ5 that one-hour parking places would be eliminated. Mohd Zulkurnain Che Ali and MBSJ councillors were present. The city council is preparing 2,106 two-hour parking spots out of 45,000 in its business zones.

Johary claimed orange bays cost 50 yen for the first half hour, with a two-hour maximum. A one-hour cooling-off period will be required before re-parking.

The mayor also confirmed that annual parking bay renters are exempt from the two-hour limit.

MBSJ said vehicles could start paying two-hour parking fees with Smart Selangor on the 1st of September 2022. More apps and e-wallets like Flexi Parking, JomParking, Boost, Touch ‘n Go, KK Mart, and Setel will be added.

Those without smartphones can use Smart Selangor ecoupons at convenience stores, said Johary. MBSJ crews will monitor the regions and tow overdue automobiles.
