Selangor residents may use the SELangkah app to schedule health checks and identify early symptoms of illness.

Dr. Siti Mariah Mahmud, state executive councillor for public health, said the free Selangor Saring health screenings provide up to RM3,000 for certain diseases. Heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease, and colorectal, prostate, cervical, and breast cancers are all checked for during the screenings.

Selangor Saring provides dental and ear exams, physiotherapy, and eye disease screenings for myopia, glaucoma, and retinal illnesses.

Dr. Siti Mariah said that the tests are based on risk factors from the SELangkah app’s first screening form.

The initiative, which launched last year, has an RM2.6 million budget and an aim of 31,000 participation in all 56 state constituencies.
